Week of February 23rd 2026

It was great to welcome everybody back after February break and two additional snow days. This made our week a little shorter, but no less fun. We began our color study with the color RED. We introduced the idea of what happens to RED when it’s mixed  with yellow. The children had a lot of fun this week with red yellow and orange markers, crayons, dot markers and stickers. Next week we will explore more color mixing with paint.

Since we missed the first two days of the week we will extend the red color study into next week.

Our felt board looks beautiful with the red orange and yellow birds flying on it and we also learned a little song:

RED bird RED bird in a tree

Won’t you sing a song for me?

If you sing me a song then I’ll have a dream.

I’ll have a little RED dream.

We have lots of colorful birds to sing about!

Again, it’s really wonderful to be back with all the Terrific Twos!
