Arctic Animals Part 2

It’s been so much fun talking about the Arctic and cold weather while we are experiencing it here ourselves. This week we added seals and whales to our penguin table and the children loved it. We also had a great time exploring the sounds that seals and penguins make while we read a book with sounds.

We had a great time, painting with Q-tips and making black and white collages. The children are getting so good at using glue sticks. We can see their fine motor developing with every new project.

We also used our felt board and our bodies to learn this little song with the tune of “I’m a little teapot.”

I’m a little snowman

Short and fat

Here are my buttons

Here is my hat

When the sun comes out

I cannot stay

Slowly I will melt away.

We all had fun “melting” and pretending to be puddles!

Next week we will begin our Color Exploration!
