Terrific Twos
January 23rd-30th 2026 Newsletter

Even though our week was short it was full of fun! We are continuing our theme of WInter and next week will introduce some more cold weather animals to add to our penguins and whales. We started each day with our felt board and some penguins sliding on the ice. Everyone enjoyed holding on to their own little penguin as we chanted the little rhyme together.

One fell down

Ouch! That’s not nice.

Mamma called the doctor and the Doctor’s advice:

NO MORE penguins slipping on the ice!

We also had fun walking like a penguin. Feet turned out and head held high!

We always sing the ABC song  at circle. And now we point out the letters and also talk about the first letter in everyone’s name as we sing. We extended this by having the children print with the first letter of their name with paint and they did a really fantastic job. We plan on doing a lot more printing as the year continues.

The 2 day class had a super fun time singing with Miss Elaine on Friday. We sang lots of snow songs and pretended to make snow angels and go sledding on the floor of the big room.
