Our final week together was dedicated to celebrating all of our favorite things! We asked the children what they loved most this year and made sure they had ample time to play, explore, and revisit their favorite materials. From creating art with dot markers and stickers to building stories with the dollhouse, “feeding” animals with tweezers, Paw Patrol, and the Playmobil zoo, everyone stayed happily busy. We revisited all the songs we sang during the year and it’s amazing how they have found their voices!

We were also incredibly fortunate to welcome a very special guest this week. Miss Nettie brought in her beloved turtle, Spike! Spike has lived with Miss Nettie’s family for over 10 years, and she is estimated to be about 40 years old. The children were completely mesmerized as they watched Spike march around on her green mat, hide under her bridge, and take a splash in her little pool. We also learned that Spike loves to eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables—just like us!

It is truly hard to believe that this is our final newsletter of the year for this wonderful Terrific Twos classroom. While it feels like we just met, the bonds we have created run incredibly deep. We feel so fortunate to know and love each of your children so dearly. We can’t thank you enough for your incredible generosity and kind words about the program. It means the world to us.
We look forward to watching many of our friends continue their preschool journeys here at the Hills. For those of you moving on to new adventures, we will miss you terribly and wish you the absolute best.
