Terrific Twos – February & March News

February was a busy month in Terrific Twos!  The children loved exploring many different colors.  Our daily art projects focused on colors, our sensory table was filled with colored objects to sort and touch  and our morning circle songs involved using our colored “stars on a stick” to wave around while singing.

Each week new toys are introduced into the classroom to give everyone the opportunity to explore new things and play creatively.  Our big dollhouse, the giant farm, the pirate ship and the car garages were some of our floor activities.

The 2’s kids participated in a variety of sensory activities over the course of the month. The small sensory table was filled with kinetic sand which intrigued everyone.  The sticky nature of the sand along with the colorful jewels provided lots of entertainment.  Our large sensory table was filled with playdough and tools. The children enjoyed filling up the cups and cutting up the dough.  Our new easel was up and running.  Everyone had a chance to use chalk and the eraser.

We are looking forward to a fun filled March where we will talk about DAY & NIGHT as well as THINGS THAT GO!
